Why a new platform?
Our current shelter software platforms (PetPoint, Chameleon) were industry-defining in their time, but they were built on older architecture that limits flexibility, scalability, and speed. 24PetShelter is a cloud-based, mobile-first platform designed from the ground up to meet modern shelter needs, focusing on simplicity, efficiency, and future innovation.
Is the software complete?

24PetShelter is equipped with the core tools that many organizations will need. However, we’re still adding more features and capabilities regularly. Feedback from shelters like you help us refine and improve the platform.

What will it cost?

24PetShelter will have minimal setup fees, no subscription costs, and no monthly/annual licensing for the core product. Instead, it operates on a performance-based pricing model: $5 per adoption, with a free microchip included. This saves most shelters $6+ per adoption.

Note: Adoptions processed through mobile checkout qualify. Pet licensing module fees still apply.

Will Early Adopters receive support?
Absolutely. You’ll receive custom onboarding and training support from our team to ensure the transition process is a success.
Will there be an end-of-life date for our current platform (PetPoint/Chameleon)?
There is no planned sunset date at this time. However, all new feature development is ending. Ongoing support (bug fixes, security updates) will continue for the foreseeable future. We’ll provide ample notice before any changes.
How will the transition to the new platform work?
Transitions will be client-led. When a shelter is ready, our team will work closely with them to develop a customized migration plan, which includes data migration, training, and onboarding support.
What do API capabilities look like on the new platform?
24PetShelter will include modern API capabilities for key data points and workflows. Our goal is to ensure seamless and secure integration with trusted industry partners and third-party tools.
How does this shift align with the company’s long-term vision and commitment to its user base?
